Dogs like to travel. Naturally adventurous, they want to see new images and new sounds. They like to meet and see new people. But that does not mean that traveling with a dog is as easy as traveling with a handbag. Here are some tips on how to travel easily with your dog.
Rent a Pet Sitter
If you travel outside the house without your dog, you can hire a caretaker to look after your dog all day long. A zookeeper can be a family member or a friend who can stay at home and monitor your dog. You can also ask your vet to recommend someone to look after pets.
Leave the Dog in the Kennel
If you want to leave your pet in a kennel, look for recommendations for a good friend with dogs or your vet. Enter the kennel before bringing your dog and check that the animals are well maintained and that the facilities are comfortable and clean. Talk to the staff to make sure your dog is treated properly.
Travel with Your Dog
If you decide to take the dog with you on your journey, ask the vet how you can travel better with a dog, even if you have transportation problems. Ask him if he can give your dog a clean health certificate.
If you fly, you must have a strong and good vehicle for your pet. Otherwise, the airline may ask you to buy them an airline. Some airlines allow your pet to enter the passenger compartment with you. Some put all the animals in the trunk.
If you arrive by car, the air conditioner must be kept. Do not leave your dog unattended in a parked car. Do not park in direct sunlight, even for a short time, as this can significantly increase the temperature in your car and cause your dog to heat or worse.
Traveling with a dog or other pet abroad can be difficult. Ask your veterinarian for advice. You can also ask the Consulate of the country you are traveling to if you want to bring your pet.
Walking with your dog can be a pleasant experience. But you have to remember to bring a dog or to bring a pet with you, could be a bit difficult.
